Black & White photography – Antonio Schiavano

“We are the Tribe” is an introspective project that sees as protagonists children and adolescents living between Kenya and Madagascar, forced to live in situations of severe poverty, but who seem to find moments of pure and simple happiness in their daily lives. Rejecting the Africa of clichés and prejudices but proposing a dialogue between cultures, through these photos, Antonio makes his subjects tell their own story: hopes, fears, happiness, courage and fragments of a raw and true everyday life.
