REFLECTIONS

This series, with an almost surrealist inspiration, explores the complexity and richness of the human body in its many dimensions: physical, anatomical, sexual, spatial, temporal, and intellectual. The artworks offer an intimate and profound reflection on bodily identity, presenting the body as a mutable symbol, capable of assuming new forms and ambiguous meanings, suspended between abstraction and reality.

At the heart of the project, the female nude is portrayed with sensitivity and respect, celebrating its sensuality without ever indulging in voyeurism or vulgarity. Through a refined play of reflections, the artist fragments and transfigures the body, shifting the gaze away from the explicit and closer to the essence. The forms dissolve into almost abstract visions, inviting the viewer to a deeper contemplation, far from clichés.

In a time when the image of the female body, especially on social media, is often stripped of meaning and reduced to a sexualized object devoid of dignity, “Reflections” stands as an act of poetic resistance. The work offers a new narrative of the body, freeing it from the logic of objectification and restoring its original sacredness: that of the miracle of life.

Through this artistic vision, the author invites a renewed perspective on the female nude: not as a tool of consumption or provocation, but as a vehicle for awareness, acceptance, and reconciliation with one’s vulnerabilities. It is a call, now more urgent than ever, to move beyond harmful stereotypes and to acknowledge the profound value of a woman’s bodily identity.
